Astor Bridge Marina is located on the south side of the drawbridge in Astor, Florida. Enjoy the unique combination of a deep, safe harbor on the beautiful St. Johns River and good road access in a park like setting.

We are minutes away from the popular "Silver Glen Springs" and Lake George. Fishing is a number one activity here on the river as well as recreational boating, waterskiing and sight seeing. The area wildlife includes deer, bear, turkey, a variety of bird species, and of course lots of gators.

Venturing away from the river you will find yourself surrounded by the natural beauty of the Ocala National Forest for hiking, bike riding, hunting and more. Closer to civilization you will enjoy Historic DeLand, the home of Stetson University, with its shops, cafes and cultural events.

Golfing and horseback riding can be found in Ocala while the Atlantic Ocean is only a half hour drive away. The excitement of the Daytona Speedway and Daytona Beach is about 40 minutes drive by car. Orlando attractions are an hour away. No matter where your interests of the day lead you, Astor is a great place to return to at the days end.

History of Astor Bridge Marina
A massive shell mound beside the St. Johns River was near leveled in order to build Volusia County roads. This shell mound is where Astor Bridge Marina resides on today. The shallow basin filled with water, which was later dug deep to provide for boat moorings. Former owners did a booming business as a fish camp / restaurant in the 1940's. For years, "Hall's Lodge Restaurant" was family owned and run, and was renowned for their fried catfish and gator meals. Fishermen and families would come from all over to enjoy the simple hospitality of the Lucas family.

Today, things in Astor have changed. Restaurants and small businesses servicing the local community have sprouted, and area vistors have increased. Fish camps have added recreational activities, jet ski rentals, eco tours, swimming pools, and water front cafes. Visitors may be in transit from a camping trip in the Ocala National Forest to the Daytona Beach biker week or to Orlando for Disney World attractions. The simple, natural beauty of the St. Johns River is a draw in itself.

The Astor Bridge Marina is a people friendly complex of almost eight acres of water basin, river front, ancient oaks, meadow land, newly renovated and decorated cottages or motel rooms. Enjoy fine dining in a dockside cafe (reserve now for "in season" bookings). Astor Bridge Marina is a great land or sea base for your fishing trip, family outing, or weekend getaway. Even with the many changes coming.. the flavor of "Old Florida" is alive and well in Astor on the St. Johns River. Come for a visit and see for yourself.
